Rio 2016

After more than 10 years trying, this is the first time that enormous events like the Olympics takes place in South America. The city of Rio de Janeiro, and the Rio population, is very proud to host the Olympics and Paralympics 2016. According to Rio2016 organization, there will be around 100, 000 people organizing the event, including 70,000 volunteers. Therefore, an enormous amount of money being invested on it in order to create the best atmosphere for the game. By 2016, there will be built new sports complex, like stadiums, and there will be five zones within the city dedicated for the games. The government is expecting more than 205 nations to be involved either in organizing or performing. Another issue that has been resolved very well is safety. A lot of efforts are being made to make sure that all kinds of threats are vanished from this wonderful event, which is considered to be the legacy for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Rio de Janeiro – Brazil

The city of Rio de Janeiro, part of the state with the same name, has 6.093.472 inhabitants according to the count of the Brazilian institute of geography and economy (IBGE) from 2007. Inside Rio we also have other important cities “like Campos and Macao (main producers of petroleum in Brazil), Petropolis (Historic city), Buzios and Angra dos Reis (touristic coastal cities), etc. People from the State of Rio are called fluminenses; people from the city of Rio are called cariocas.” (To know more visit: www.v-brazil.com.br). The first name given to the city by the Portuguese Manoel Tome de Souza was city of Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro, changed later for State of Guanabara, in 1960 when the capital of Brazil was moved from Rio to Brasilia (the capital was moved to Brasilia because of its centrality).

The geography of Rio de Janeiro is formed by the combination of sea and mountains. “Most of Rio lies on a geological structure called Brazilian Crystal Basement; the rocks, gnaisses and granites which make up the basement are the oldest of Brazilian territory.” (www.v-brazil.com). the land had many tectonic alterations, which developed into hills, valleys and mountains shaping some touristic landmarks as the sugar loaf and all the coast of Rio. “The State can be divided in three morphologic frames: the coastal low lands (referred to as Baixada Fluminense), the coastal elevations and the highlands.” (www.v-brazil.com). Coastal elevation can be seen in a region called “regiao dos lagos”, what can be translated as the lake region of Rio considering Guanabara bay (there are three bays in total: Guanabara, sepetiba and ilha Grande). The highlands are a result of eruptions in the area composing the grater part in the formation of Rio geography.

Entertainment in Rio

You will never become bored in Rio, there is always something exciting to do. On the weekends the most popular destination is the beach; Rio is circulated by the most beautiful beaches in the world. There is the famous Copacabana beach, Ipanema beach, Barra da Tijuca Beach, and many more, you just have to explore. If you are tired of Beaches, you have the option to go and have a lunch in one of our beautiful restaurants by the sea and taste a real sea food. At night you can go to Leblon or even in Copacabana to one of the many areas like Baixo leblon, where the complex of bars is amazing and you can sit down and have a beer, caipirinha, or if you prefer a natural fresh juice. However, if you prefer clubbing, the night club 00 in Gavea is the best option.

If you like to dance, there are innumerous places where you can go and experience the Samba beat. If it is carnival, do not miss out the opportunity to visit the Sambodrome and watch the parades for the whole night. There is a number of Samba schools in Rio, where you can also go before the carnival time arrives to enjoy the environment and dance with the beat, some of them are: Beija-flor, mangueira, vila isabel, Grande rio and many more.

O inconpreendido eh aquele que deixa os outros pensarem que eles sao uma coisa

O inconpreendido se sente rejeitado por nao ter falado
O inconpreendido compreende que o mundo eh dos compreendidos
O inconpreendido compreende que o abismo maior eh a solidao
O inconptreendido fica a nevegar quando o assunto eh introversao
O inconpreendido sente que tudo pode acontecer depois de um minuto
O inconpreendido fia a vida toda a procurar razao do porque nao eh astuto
E no final passa a entender que o mundo nao compreende o que eh ser inconpreendido!

Foco e Escolhas

Ola,

Como mencionei no post anterior, hoje vou falar sobre foco e escolhas. Desde muito novo sempre tive uma linha de raciocinio e desenvolvimento alem do normal para minha idade, isso siginifica que minha idade mental sempre foi mais madura do que a fisica. Desde crianca tive de fazer escolhas, como toda crianca tem de fazer: brincar, fazer dever de casa, ou estudar para prova. Porem, minhas escolhas eram conscientes, o que nao eh comum para criancas de 12 anos por exemplo. Uma das escolhas importantes que fiz aos 12 anos foi de escrever um livro, para voce ver o meu grau de maturidade mental. Decidi escrever sobre a Vida, o que eh meio estranho pela idade, ate porque qual a visao de vida que tinha? resultou num conteudo simplesmente engracado de tao ridiculo (conclusao chegada quando li novamente, anos mais tarde, o que havia escrito), me fazendo desistir da ideia inicial de publica-lo.
Anos mais tarde, tive de fazer decisoes mais serias, como por exemplo se mudar de estado e de cidade, o que era uma situacao que me atormentava o pensamento por ser completamente nova para minha cabeca. Tudo culminou alguns anos apos essa primeira decisao de mudar de estado e cidade, a decisao de mudar de pais, de quebrar a barreira Brasil e enfrentar a China, do outro lado do mundo, com uma cultura bem diferente. Dali foi um pulo para a decisao da faculdade na europa, a grande escolha.
Por tras de toda escolha vem primeiro o foco, o objetivo de vida. Isso, alias, eh outra coisa que sempre tive em mente desde minha adolescencia, quando comecei a ter um pensamento mais logico. Desejo, do fundo do meu coracao, construir uma solida carreira dentro da area de Propaganda e marketing, sonho em construir meu proprio negocio e ser reconhecido por isso. Por causa deste meu objetivo maior que hoje moro e estudo em Londres. Por causa desta minha paixao pela minha futura profissao e pela minha visao mais apurada de mundo que tenho hoje.
Bom, por hoje acho que jah escrevi muito, hora de dormir por aqui. No proximo post em portugues abordarei um tema super interessante: Um brasileiro no mundo, nao percam!

Gerenciamento de tempo

Ola,

Sempre achei muito dificil esse negocio de gerenciamento de tempo: tempo para comer, tempo para estudar, tempo para trabalhar... na verdade isso se trata de uma questao de mentalizacao. Planilias e tabelas muito elaboradas de organizacao de tempo e coisas muito metodicas como essas nunca foram comigo; talvez pelo fato de minha area de estudo ser humanas.
Porem, agora estudando numa faculdade no exterior, onde as obrigacoes e ritimo de estudo eh bem diferente do que temos no Brasil, vejo a necessidade diaria de controlar melhor meu tempo. Continuo nao fazendo tabelas e calculos metodicos, mas minha mente passa a funcionar em compartimentos: faculdade, almoco, estudo individual, jantar, diversao... enfim, um monte de tempo para controlar. Afinal de contas, controle de tempo eh algo fundamental na vida, principalmente na vida profissional, que comeco a construir agora e que muitos jovens como eu ja comecaram e podem contar melhor sua experiencia e gerenciamento de tempo.
E importante lembrar que, assim como eu, se voce nao tem um plano fisico de gerenciamento de tempo, mas que voce tenha um plano metal, senao nosso precioso tempo e perdido fazendo algo que nao e exatamente relevante para sua vida. Nesse momento entra a questao de foco e escolhas, mas vamos deixar esse assunto para uma outra oportunidade! abracos e comentem por favor, vamos dividir opinioes e pontos de vista!

Fate or free will?

Hey people,
Here I am for my first oficial post. After watching the Film The adjustment Bureal, one question came to my mind. Do we control our lives or it is just fate?
 Well, trying to aswer this question I will certainly come to my religion: Catholicism. We believe in God, the father, the almighty God, who created the earth and who we are: men and women. Therefore he built us and guide us through to our lives, he wrote once upon a time for each of us our own destiny. If, for any chance, I come to marry my neighbor, it is just because of god's fate.
I, as a citizen, as a person, truly believe in what I just said. Not only because I am Catholic and practice my faith, but also because my life was given to God when I was born 25 years ago. Hello everyone, welcome to my new launched web blog called jotting down. Here I will be, as the name suggests, jotting down my thoughts and ideas around a general subject matter or a specific question which will arise on the top of my head.
